Meet the Teachers
Katie Anderson
A 3-year Music Director for her alma mater’s all-female Wheaton Whims, Katie is now a graduate student at Boston University’s school of Music Education. She has been teaching for Be the Music® at The Codman Academy in Dorchester, MA since September 2010.
Alex Grover
After founding an a cappella group at his own Salem High School, Alex went on to Wheaton College where he was a 3-year Music Director of the all-male Gentlemen Callers. He has been teaching for Be the Music® at Washington Irving Middle School in Roslindale, MA since September 2010.
Maia Majumder
A current member of the co-ed Tufts Amalgamates, Maia is in her second year of teaching for Be the Music® at the Tufts Community Music Program. The Tufts Community Music Program is a weekend program open to students of various ages in the surrounding communities. Sign up for next semester.
Alexi Paraschos
Alexi is a Tufts graduate and former Music Director of S-Factor, an all-male group dedicated to songs of the African diaspora. In addition to working as the Assistant Gospel Choir Director at Boston College, Alexi has been teaching for Be the Music® at Fenway High School since September 2010.
Hannah Shefsky
The current Music Director of the all-female Tufts Jackson Jills, Hannah is in her second year of teaching for Be the Music® at the Tufts Community Music Program.
